Admissions

The published admission number for Thomas More Catholic School is 150. Our Admissions Policy is in line with Diocesan Policy.

Thomas More Catholic School is a Voluntary Aided School under the Archdiocese of Southwark and located within the London Borough of Croydon.

As a Specialist School, Thomas More Catholic School will allocate the first 10% of places (15 places) on the basis of performance in the Aptitude Test.

Note: Parents must complete the Aptitude Test Application Form if they wish their child to sit the Aptitude Test.

When applications exceed the number of available places, after allowing for places allocated to children with Statements of Special Educational Needs who choose to name Thomas More Catholic School, and for those who have succeeded in the Aptitude Test, entry priority will be given as follows: -

 

Criteria A: Practising, Baptised Roman Catholic children
Criteria B: Other children who already have a brother or sister currently in the school.
Criteria C: Other children who can provide evidence of a faith commitment from their place of worship and will support the Catholic ethos of the school.
Criteria D: Other children.

 

Appointments for visits to our school and applications for places other than at the beginning of Year 7, can be made at any time in the school year by contacting the school office. Such applications will be considered in the light of places available and the Admissions Policy.
